So I guess on YouTube Katelee and Ashlynn saw some different treats to trick your friends when you eat them. I went to the store and they requested that I get them some dirt worms. I told them I would look for them. I found them and bought them for the kids. They were so excited to eat them!

Kindergarten Color Week 1

The kindergartners have two weeks with a color theme. Each day focuses on a certain color that they learn about. They wear that color to school, sing that color song, have snacks that are that color, write about the color, and a lot of other fun color activities. Ashlynn loved learning about the different colors. Her favorite color is blue! 

Ashlynn was asked to bring a snack to school for red day. We went to the store and she chose to bring Swedish Fish to share with her classmates. She was so excited that she got to bring the red snack.

I had an end of summer/back to school party with some of my friends at Hafen Splash Pad. I like to play with my friends. We had cupcakes and otter pops. My favorite otter pop color was blue. I liked the chocolate frosting and sprinkles on the cupcakes.

First Day of Kindergarten!

Today was my first day of Kindergarten! My favorite part was having my little snack, my marshmallows with chocolate inside and graham crackers on the bottom. I liked playing with my new play dough. I want to learn about marshmallows and camping and kindness and serving one another in kindergarten.

 After school was over my mom and dad took us to Dairy Queen to celebrate the first day of school and for Family Home Evening.

Father's Blessing

The night before school starts we have a tradition in our family to get a father's blessing. I love my dad and I'm glad he can give me a blessing to help me throughout the school year.

Back to School Night

I got to go to the school and meet my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Mickelson. I got to do a scavenger hunt to learn where things are in my classroom and I really liked making s'mores outside. They were so yummy to eat! I am so excited to go to school and be in kindergarten. 

Waking Ashlynn Up

I was waking Ashlynn up this morning at 9 and she was not ready to get up. I said, "Ashlynn, come on it's time to get up." Her response, "Can't I sleep for just one more minute."

This girl is not a morning person at all. She usually sleeps until about 10. The other day we didn't have to go anywhere and she slept until after 11. She likes to sleep with her blanket right over the top of her head. 

I went back into her room a little bit later and she was back asleep, blanket over her head.
